Angelokastro, Corfu on the 999 Angelic Portal

Angelokastro ~ Castle of the Angel

Friday 9th September 2016, another beautiful day in Corfu. Paul and I set off to meet our new friends and they asked us ‘Have you heard of Angelokastro, Corfu, the Castle of the Angels? If not we shall visit it today”

Well, I just had to laugh, we had just completed our 999 Angelic Portal ceremony in Arillas on the beach and we had no idea how the day was going to unfold. We just knew it was a very significant day to be present and to detach as much from the details and concentrate on the bigger picture of our hopes and dreams for our future.

We set off on a 20 minute walk up the mountain to the Byzantine Castle, as we walked we had a fantastic view of the bay of Palaiokastritsa. (Corfu has been suggested to be the mythical island of the Phaeacians, and the Bay of Palaiokastritsa to be the place where Odysseus disembarked and met Nausicaa for the first time).

Angelokastro (which is Greek for Castle of the Angel) is located 1,000 ft up a steep cliff at the top of the highest peak of the island's shoreline. The exact time of the building of the castle is not known but there are estimates that it was built during the reign of Manuel I Komnenos or by Michael I Komnenos. The castle has a long and fascinating history, which you can read more about in this Wikipedia entry.

What excited me most though was the opportunity to visit the church of the Acropolis, which is dedicated to Archangel Michael, and is built at the site of an Early Christian three-aisled church. The Michael & Mary ley lines cross through the Michael Chapel so it is a very potent spot indeed, and of course is energetically connected to Glastonbury, home of the Daisy Centre, where I hold my healing retreats.

There is a picture in the gallery above showing me standing in the portal built on the exact point where the Michael line enters the Chapel. You'll also see a picture of the larger of the two early-Christian closure slabs, found inside the Church of Archangel Michael, clearly marked with a Templar cross. Two beautiful 18C paintings are to be found on the walls of the Chapel.

There are many other fascinating archaeological features in the complex, including a cemetery with seven graves carved out of the rock in the shape of the human body as in a sarcophagus. The origin of these anthropomorphic graves has not yet been determined. A tiny cave like chapel, dug into the rock and dedicated to St. Kyriaki also served as a hermitage.

We had an amazing day with Ian and Sue, two master healers who live on this magical island, practising their deeply intuitive healing and T'ai-chi classes and we thank them for such a wonderful impromptu day of mystery and fabulous memories. We met them through our mutual friend Murray, who will be teaching a series of classes in the Soft Exercises of Yeung Ma Lee Yeung's T'ai-chi Ch'uan. 9th September 2016 - the first 999 Angelic Portal

This was the first 999 Angelic Portal, a time to release from the physical, emotional, mental ego mind, the second on the 18th September is the for you to let go of the unconscious, the unmanifest in your etheric body. This all comes together on the 27th September to fully transform yourself, for your old patterns and conditioning to make way for the new you. This energetic phase is over the Autumn Equinox cycle, a very powerful time of harvest, a gathering of not just the physical fruits of your labour but also all your emotional, mental and spiritual matters all coming to a head to end the old cycle and start anew with fresh ideas and clear focused energy.
